The Heritage League of Lincoln's annual Holiday of Trees event wrapped up on November 30th, leaving a trail of twinkling lights, happy hearts, and a helping hand for the Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools (FLPS).
This year, Westminster Presbyterian Church transformed into a wonderland with 19 decorated trees by local organizations, live music performances, a raffle, attic treasures, a bake sale, and a selfie station. FLPS was chosen as a beneficiary of the proceeds raised over the two-day event.
Holiday of Trees raised funds for one of FLPS's "Fund a Need" campaigns, which helps put athletic shoes and equipment on the feet and in the hands of students who need them most. Now, that's something to celebrate!
The Holiday of Trees has become a tradition in Lincoln, bringing people together to spread holiday cheer and give back to our amazing community. A huge thank you goes out to the Heritage League of Lincoln, the generous sponsors, the tireless volunteers, and everyone who came and joined the fun. Your collective efforts have made a real difference in the lives of many LPS athletes.
