More than three dozen LPS students from seven high schools attended the opening night of Spring 2025 Omaha Fashion Week. The show highlighted designs by University of Nebraska-Lincoln textiles, merchandising, and fashion design students, along with creations from area high schoolers, 4-H students, and local designers.
Every LPS student who attended had prior knowledge of fashion and design from their Family and Consumer Sciences course, Introduction to Fashion and Interior Design, allowing them to apply what they had learned to the looks they saw on the runway. Thanks to the Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools’ Stuart Elliott Student Assistance Fund, all students received tickets to the show and enjoyed a pre-show meal at no cost.
