Myrtle Clark Outstanding Mathematics Educator Award

About the Award

A former student established the Myrtle Clark Award to honor Miss Myrtle Clark, a former mathematics teacher at Lincoln Northeast High School and Jackson High School. The award is given to recognize excellence in mathematics teaching and provide a source of funding for LPS mathematics educators for summer school courses to advance teaching skills or for the pursuit of attending a professional development conference or opportunity.

Applying for the Award

Award Amount: $1,200

Eligibility:

Any Lincoln Public Schools mathematics educator. Self-nominations are accepted.

Selection of the recipient will be based on:

  • Commitment to excellence in mathematics teaching
  • Interest in pursuing summer school courses to advance teaching skills, an advanced degree in mathematics, or mathematics conferences and education opportunities
