Holly Weber-Group

Beattie Elementary
Art Teacher
Nominated By: Principal Julie Lee

Holly is a tremendous art teacher and mentor to all students. She goes above and beyond the call duty in several areas. One of these is spearheading International Dot Day for the Beattie community. She creates these special opportunities for all kids to express themselves in an artistic fashion, regardless of their ability. In addition, she leads the Original Works program, which provides students and families a lifetime of memories of kids' creativity.

Next, Holly does an outstanding job of advocating for all kids to have their original works submitted as she wants them to feel valued according to their own sense of creativity and perspective. This means a great deal to both students and families. Finally, Holly takes it upon herself to be highly involved with students who are either on check-in/check-out or have individual social/emotional plans through special education. She really digs in and provides specific feedback, praise, and constructive criticism for students, in addition to communicating with classroom teachers regarding the progress of these students. She goes out of her way in this area.

In summary, Holly's dedication not only to art education, but also the overall development of all students at Beattie is highly commendable and is worthy of recognition. She is always there for students and other staff who need a positive word or reinforcement of showing our Beattie Best/the Beattie Way!
