While some leave is planned, much of it is unexpected and stressful. Caila helps reduce this stress by being an easy to approach and work with individual. She has formed strong positive relationships with staff, which helps when we need class covers in a pinch. She is also our point of contact for substitute teachers in the building. Her thoroughness and organization make it simple for subs to check in and be on their way. Beyond her regular job duties, Caila also cultivates a welcoming and inclusive culture through her daily interactions in the office. She has a question of the day each Friday that has been a uniting element among staff. She has also contributed to the broader Southwest community through things like her role in the cast play and her co-sponsoring of crochet club. Southwest High School benefits daily from having Caila on our team.
