Mary Herrington

8th Grade Science Teacher
Ms. Herrington is a gift to the Culler community. Her love and investment for the staff, student body and greater community is felt by all who meet her. As a veteran teacher she serves as a mentor to those in her content area and grade level. Mary’s science class is always a space of deep thinking, exploration and engagement. While it is easy to praise her content expertise, what makes Mary so extraordinary is how she makes it an equal part of her job to foster a positive building culture where teachers and students are celebrated for both who they are and their achievements. Whether it’s by spreading merriment with a midday pick me up, organizing staff potlucks, fostering community partnerships to award Cougars academic gains, developing homeroom materials, or simply giving an encouraging word, Ms. Herrington's drive to make Culler the best it can be is non stop. We are a better community because she is in it.
