2021 Inspire Award Winners

Nicole Donahue

Everett Elementary
Special Education Teacher
Nominated By: Principal Mike Long

Mrs. Donahue is extremely committed to our school and goals. She has always gone above and beyond her job requirements and is constantly looking for ways to grow as an educator. I have observed many instructional strategies in Mrs. Donahue’s classroom, which include students working in small groups and one-on-one instruction. Lessons are differentiated to meet the individual IEP goals of her students. Procedures and routines are established early in the year, ensuring a productive student learning environment. A variety of materials and resources to make subject matter meaningful to Mrs. Donahue's students are always evident. She is able to relate ideas across the curriculum. Lessons are modified to the academic and behavioral levels of each student. This includes incorporating a high specific positive feedback to redirect ratio with many random opportunities for students to respond. Mrs. Donahue is truly committed to making our school a better place. I would wholeheartedly recommend her for the Inspire Award.
