Chris Swanigan has taught at Calvert for nearly a quarter century. Her dedication to her students, parents, and colleagues is the one trait that all people admire about Chris. Many long hours have been spent by Chris to plan lessons that will engage and bring the love of learning to her kindergarten students. In multiple nominations, people shared how much they respect her work with our outdoor classroom, as a team member, and just a positive person at Calvert. Chris brings a great deal of energy to her classroom each day, and students who have gone on to older grades often remark how much they enjoyed being in her room. Chris is moving on to new horizons, and will be greatly missed at Calvert!
