In her role as an interventionist with struggling readers, she has stepped up, learned, and implemented instructional strategies to help improve students' decoding and fluency. Christina has taken the time to understand the background of reading difficulties and how early intervention can improve students' opportunities for success. This has taken extra time and effort that comes from her desire to help and improve the lives of the students she works with. Not only is she wonderful with students, she cares about the people she works with. She is empathetic and understanding as well as fun. Christina is well deserving of this award!"
