Meredith Petrick

Eastridge Elementary
Academic Interventionist
Nominated By: Principal Traci Boothe

Meredith Petrick makes an impact on everyone at Eastridge. Meredith is an intervention para; but that is not only where she makes an impact. Meredith supports all students and staff. Meredith thinks outside the box with the purpose of helping all students. Meredith came up with the idea to check in with a student every morning so he doesn’t have to seek out that support in a negative way. She even went as far as writing a happy note to him when she was going to be gone so he knew she still remembered him and he mattered! Anytime Meredith walks the halls, she has a smile on her face and a pleasant greeting. Even if you are frustrated or having a bad day her demeanor can’t help but put you in a good mood. She brings humor in when needed and helps support anyone who may be feeling down. Meredith takes trainings, classes and attends meetings to help support what she is working on with students and so she can give them her best knowledge. All students are thrilled when they know they will work with Ms. Meredith; her calm and spirited personality lights up any classroom. It’s not just the students that enjoy working with her; staff is just as thrilled when they know Ms. Meredith is supporting their classroom or students. She truly makes an impact on everyone. Meredith not only works hard, but it is proven in her results. Students she works with not only make gains in their academics but in their confidence as well. Meredith Petrick is a true inspiration and why she is do deserving of the Inspire award.
