Jazmyn Morey

Don D. Sherrill Education Center Elementary School
5th Grade
Nominated By: Principal Cindy Vodicka

Jazmyn has an amazing energy and personality that she brings to everything she does. She has such a strong, caring heart that she uses to make all around her smile. She has an amazing sense of humor and is able to use that to be real about life. Jazmyn works hard to complete what is expected of her and to rise above negative behavior. She is a silent leader and does not always get the recognition she deserves. She always brings a smile to people’s faces and makes their day brighter.

Every time Jazmyn is in the hall, she is setting a positive model for peers that see her. She's so polite and friendly. I see an example of doing what you're supposed to do and feeling success. Jazmyn also has taken pride in herself and the dedicated work she has put into her academics, positive self-talk and advocating for others. This dedication has led her to begin to truly believe in herself. She inspires those around her to be better, to not give up on themselves and challenge their negative self-talk. Even though Jazmyn has had her share of struggles, she has the desire to make her future bright. Overall, Jazmyn exemplifies the courage students need to face their fears and make the world a better place.
