Easton McCarville

Cavett Elementary
5th Grade
Nominated By: Teacher Charlotte Linderman

From day one, Easton has been a leader in our room. He is the first to cheer or clap for his classmates because he is genuinely happy for others when they succeed. He is also quick to coach students who might be struggling, and can constantly be heard offering praise and encouragement. In any group discussion, Easton is not only an active participant, he is also very cognizant of his fellow classmates. He consistently creates opportunities for all voices to be heard by inviting others into discussions, especially when he senses someone might need a friendly nudge. Easton knows and practices a balance between sharing his thoughts and sitting back to listen to others. Through all of these actions, Easton is truly an inspiration to others. He's the type of kid that everyone wants to sit by because he's kind, humble, and makes people feel safe. Plus...he's a super funny guy with a knack for presenting with humor while keeping the audience engaged. He inspires me; serving as a reminder that having fun while we learn is just as important as the lesson itself. There is no doubt that Easton makes our learning environment better a place and absolutely deserves this award.
