Jessica Vieyra

Kahoa Elementary
5th Grade
Nominated By: Principal Mandy Nickolite-Greene

It is an honor to nominate Jessica Vieyra for Kahoa’s Inspire Award. Jessica has been a member of the Kahoa community long before she enrolled in Kindergarten six years ago. Having two older siblings that attended Kahoa made Jessica a Kahoa Cougar long before she walked through the Kindergarten door.

Jessica has always displayed a propensity for kindness. She has a natural ability to relate to all students and takes extra time to help classmates who need it, even if it takes away from her own free time. Over the years Jessica has developed a very special relationship with a peer in her class with special needs. Jessica loves to get her classwork done so she can work individually with this classmate. Her interactions with this particular student are so warm and caring and always brings a smile to this special friend's face.

Jessica has always been a shining example of integrity -- she does the right thing, even if nobody is watching or there's no reward. She has a strong work ethic, persisting on projects, even when they are tough for her. Jessica gives her best effort on every single thing she does, from Math homework to drawing a picture in Health. Her overall positive attitude and hard work is almost certainly noticed by her classmates and teachers alike.

Jessica’s positive energy, bright and cheery personality, kind heart and infectious attitude make Kahoa a better place!
