Murtaja Al Labban

Belmont Elementary
5th Grade
Nominated By: Teacher Bobbie Ehrlich

Integrity, humility, and dedication are three aspects of what makes Murtaja a lead by example impact maker. Murtaja is respected by his peers and adults who are blessed to know him because he does what is right because it is right - not to be recognized. A deep value of education and the empowerment that is created because of educational opportunities helps drive Murtaja to learn for depth and quality, not just to get something completed. He sincerely seeks feedback to grow and learn.

Murtaja has the ability to make others around him better by elevating their belief that others have value and he helps them see this. His peers not only follow his example but verbally recognize the positive choices he makes and the influence he has in our Belmont family. Murtaja is kind, respectful, and polite to everyone he crosses paths with, and he appreciates his experiences with others. Murtaja has a force about him that pulls people together and lifts them up. The world is a better place because of his service minded, kind spirit as well as his drive and determination to grow each and every day. Murtaja instills this inspiration and belief in all of us in the Belmont family.
